Consultations

Get direct access to practical, technical guidance for your project, setup, workflow, or purchasing decision.

These sessions are designed for filmmakers, post-production professionals, studios, creators, and companies who need experienced input before they make technical, creative, or financial decisions. The goal is not to replace formal training, long-term support, or a full engineering project. The goal is to help you think clearly, avoid expensive mistakes, and make better decisions based on real-world experience.

Best for serious projects, technical decisions, or workflow planning

A Pro Consultation is for clients who need a deeper and more structured consultation. This tier is suitable when the subject affects a project, studio, production workflow, purchasing decision, calibration strategy, or technical setup where mistakes can become expensive.

This includes deeper preparation, a more structured session, and post-call feedback. The aim is to help you understand the situation, evaluate options, identify risks, and decide on the next practical steps.

Included:

  • 1:1 consultation call.
    Pre-call review of submitted material.
  • Deeper research where appropriate.
  • Structured recommendations during the session.
  • Post-call written summary with key points, risks, and suggested next steps.

(unless separately agreed)

Important clarification section

A consultation session is a focused professional conversation. You are booking my time, experience, and judgment to discuss a subject, workflow, product, setup, project, or decision you are working on.

These sessions are not software lessons, full technical support contracts, or guaranteed problem-resolution services. For example, “teach me DaVinci Resolve from zero,” “fully fix my computer,” or “calibrate my entire display remotely in one session” are not the right expectations for a standard consultation.

The best use of a session is to discuss what you are planning, what you are unsure about, what options you are considering, and what risks or compromises you should understand before moving forward.

Who this is for

These sessions are for people who already have a specific question, decision, project, or technical direction in mind and want experienced guidance before moving forward.

They are suitable for filmmakers, editors, colorists, YouTubers, photographers, studio owners, post-production teams, creators, and companies working with image, sound, displays, cameras, calibration, or production workflows.

You do not need to be an expert before booking. However, the session works best when you can explain what you are trying to achieve, what equipment or software you are using, and what decision you need help with.

Example topics

  • Monitor or TV selection for editing, grading, photography, or client review.
  • Color management workflow for DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, or web delivery.
  • Display calibration strategy and measurement equipment decisions.
  • Audio, Composing, Production and Post Production
  • Studio setup decisions for image, sound, lighting, monitoring, or networking.
  • Camera, lens, or post-production hardware choices.
  • YouTube production workflow, review methodology, or technical content planning.
  • Troubleshooting strategy for complex technical workflows.
  • Evaluating whether a proposed purchase or setup is worth it.

Session expectations

A consultation is professional guidance based on the information available at the time of the session. It is not a guarantee that a technical issue can be fully resolved during the call.

Some subjects require testing, measurement, direct access to equipment, or longer-term work. If that becomes clear during the session, I will explain what would be required and what the next step should be.

FAQ

How the process works exactly?
After you book and pay for your consultation, we will contact you to arrange a suitable date and time. Consultations are scheduled no earlier than two working days after payment, subject to availability. In most cases, the session will take place within one week of payment.

Can you teach me how to use a specific application?
These sessions are not intended as full software training. I can explain workflows, concepts, decisions, and technical direction, but this is not a replacement for a structured course or long-term training program.

Can you fully solve my technical issue during the call?
Sometimes a session may help identify the solution, but resolution is not guaranteed. Some problems require testing, remote access, equipment measurement, or more time than a consultation allows.

Can I send material before the call?
Yes, for Premium and Pro sessions. Basic sessions do not include pre-call preparation.

Will I receive written feedback afterwards?
Only Pro includes a written post-call summary. Basic and Premium do not include written follow-up unless agreed separately.

Can this become a larger project?
Yes. If the consultation shows that the subject requires deeper work, implementation, calibration, testing, or documentation, that can be discussed separately.

Can I reschedule?
You can reschedule with at least 48 notice.

Can I get a refund?
Once a consultation is conducted, a refund is not possible.
