Test Lab
DResearch Test Lab measures the performance of imaging systems, displays, light sources, lenses, and visual technologies under controlled and real-world conditions.
We combine state-of-the-art instruments, synthetic test patterns, industry-standard charts, in-house software, and established measurement tools to produce detailed reports, comparisons, and long-term performance analysis. Our work is aimed at reviewers, manufacturers, engineering teams, production environments, and companies that need reliable, repeatable, measurement-based evaluation.
Testing can be performed in controlled temperature and humidity conditions to evaluate how equipment behaves beyond ideal laboratory specifications. This allows us to study stability, repeatability, aging, calibration drift, and performance changes under environmental stress.
We can test performance across temperature, humidity, aging, and usage conditions, helping detect manufacturing variances, stability issues, calibration drift, and real-world limitations that may not appear in standard specifications.
Camera Sensor Testing
We measure camera sensor performance using controlled test setups, precision charts, and advanced analysis software.
Our tests can include ISO noise behaviour, dynamic range, tonal response, color accuracy, sharpness, texture reproduction, and sensor consistency. For dynamic range evaluation, we can measure up to 21 stops using high-precision dynamic range targets.
We use charts from leading manufacturers such as IMATEST and Image Engineering, as well as custom in-house charts designed for specific sensor, camera, and workflow evaluations.
This allows us to compare cameras under controlled conditions, evaluate sensor performance over time, and identify manufacturing or firmware-related differences between units.

Light Testing
We measure the spectral and color quality of light sources used in photography, cinematography, broadcast, production, automotive, medical, industrial, and display-related environments.
Our light evaluations can include CRI, SSI, spectral power distribution, color temperature, tint, stability, flicker behaviour, UV content, near-infrared response, and irradiance measurements.
Using high-end spectroradiometers, including instruments capable of UV and NIR range measurements, we can evaluate not only how accurate a light appears visually, but also how it interacts with sensors, materials, cameras, and color-critical workflows.
This is especially useful for comparing LED fixtures, production lights, studio environments, display backlights, automotive lighting, and specialist illumination systems.
Monitor, TV & Display Testing
We measure display performance across professional monitors, consumer TVs, iPads, iPhones, automotive displays, medical displays, aerospace displays, and other specialist visual systems.
Our display tests can include gamut coverage, maximum luminance, black level, contrast, EOTF tracking, grayscale accuracy, color accuracy, uniformity, HDR performance, viewing behaviour, calibration stability, and long-term drift.
Using instruments such as the Konica Minolta CS-3000 HDR and advanced spectroradiometers, we can perform highly accurate luminance, color, spectral, and irradiance measurements.
We also use custom software to test display behaviour in scenarios where standard tools are not sufficient, including mobile devices, embedded displays, automotive systems, and specialized industrial or medical applications.
Reports, Comparisons & Long-Term Evaluation
Every test can be delivered as a detailed technical report, a comparison between products, or a long-term performance study.
We can evaluate how devices perform under different environmental conditions, how they change over time, and how much variance exists between multiple units of the same product.
Our goal is to provide clear, repeatable, measurement-based insight that helps reviewers publish accurate evaluations and helps manufacturers improve product consistency, quality control, and real-world performance.
